Drawing Exercise
I bought a new drawing book called 'Drawing Legendary MONSTERS' by Steve Beaumont. This is my version of one of the exercises drawing a dragon.

I sketched the shape in pencil (stick figure then flesh it out ).

Once I finished the shape I outlined the drawing in pen (.2mm)

The pencil lines are still showing at this stage. I kept adding detail to the dragon until I was happy. I used a (.8mm) pen  and started to ink in shadows.

Once I was happy with the finished drawing, I erased the pencil. It starts to look cleaner now and I can see the personality coming out.

I chose green and red as earthy colours and I use Derwent colouring pencils. They work well in light and heavy drawing styles.

Close up on inking.
You can change the colours by using Adobe Photoshop and adjust the Hue. Scan the drawing, open it in Photoshop and open the Image tab.
Image-Adjustments-Hue and Saturation.
Move the slider bar and the colours will change or click on the Colorize and only change the overall colour.
Have a go at the drawing. Comment and ask for more drawings and I will see what I can do. You don't have to stick to Dragons, as I draw other creatures. Enjoy. Let me know what you think.
