Scales, leather, feathers and armor cover the dragons hide. Scales are on most dragons always over the heart. Almost impregnable unless one can come up under the scale and pierce the skin. A dragon scale ground down to a fine powder can cure many ailments from tooth ache to gout. It can be boiled and made into a salve or steeped in a tea, although very bitter to taste. Red scales are good for colds and fevers, Blue for swellings and Green for infections. Purple scales can be used for infertility and Gold scales can cure nearly everything but are difficult to gain.
